Day 6: Bad Luck & the d’Orsay

21 Mars:

After the riot experience the day prior, we were hoping for some Modern art goodness. I’d been listening to Art Brut…”So I’m in the Pompidou

In Paris

And they’re more laid back about their art galleries

There’s little children running around

I see a piece on Matisse

Take three steps back

Take a long run up

And I jump at it!

Modern art

Makes me

Want to rock out”

We were beautifully fueled by our lunch at Le Trumilou. Check out our food stuffage below:

The hubs charcuterie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charcuterie)

My mousse duo: eggplant+avocado this was so tasty on baguette!

I had Beef Bourguignon & the hubs had cassoulet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassoulet)

We arrived with full bellies outside the Georges-Pompidou and I had to snap a photo of my love haha LADY GAGA!

But wait! Police line? Are you serious?! I couldn’t believe it! I spoke with some police officers and it turns out there was a bomb threat and the modern art museum was closed for the day! :( I’m laughing in this photo because the wind was super strong & completely blowing my skirt up haha.

Not wanting to waste a moment, we booked it over to the Metro and hopped onboard to see some Matisse, Gauguin, van Gogh & and some vag by Gustave Courbet (just google Courbet L’Origine du monde) and you’ll see what I’m talking about :D I saw it IN PERSON!! haha. only in France :) It’s so hard to believe that it’s been a month already since we were in Paris! I still have 1 more day to blog about-I will try to get it up this week! So many things to blog about coming up! Stay tuned for some reviews, home projects, fashion & more random eats!

That mousse duo looks great! I showed it to my husband to see I am not the only one who takes photos in restaurant, he gets really embaressed!

Lovely outfit too. I´ll google Courbet L’Origine du monde, thanks
