Work it out Wednesday

Hey lovers! I had a nice run before work today and now I am very busy at work doing visual function testing on Long Evans Rats. (Thank you auto post!) They look like mini cows! Don’t they?

Don’t worry, they don’t get hurt doing this. They have the easy job! Sit on a platform and watch the bars go around on the screen while I have to task of trying to measure their visual acuity and contrast sensitivity (or spatial frequency). Here’s an example of optokinetics done on mice:

Before I run off here…I hope you enjoy this tune as much as I do! p.s. random fact about me: I am interested in Tecktonik!? Yep! I’ve been practicing even though I don’t have a sweet euro mullet. Must be my Czech roots ;) I love electronica. I had the best new years this year (I saw MSTRKRFT in philly) it was epic!

I love rats. I know that makes me weird, but I’m okay with that.

Are you a scientist? The rat study seems like a really detailed and meticulous task, but also pretty intriguing! Just curious.
