paris 2012 part I

nate and i decided to stop over in paris for a few days before our return to the states since his brother is living there. we had a nice short flight and breezed through security since we were still in the schengen zone. we flew easyjet and it’s definitely worth the extra 10 bucks to do speedy boarding. we were 2 of 4 people on the entire flight who purchased it so we got to sit in the very first seats! after landing, our first order of business was lunch! i enjoyed a variation of this salade nordique many times during our stay. the food is so fresh and beautiful! i also love the addition of pamplemousse on my greens! they even gave me half an avocado! spring was in full swing!

full bellies aside, we walked to meet up with peter! we shopped at colette & cos, took in the sights of the lock bridge at the golden hour and spent some time quietly admiring colored paper cranes & votives inside one of the many cathedrals. . .

we closed the night off with a trip to the pub and they played morrissey!!! i swooned as i sipped my scotch and soda and kissed the night away. only 48 hrs left in the city of light so i had to make the most of it! up next: the best coffee in paris, a trip to the pompidou & the world’ best tasting macaron!

I want to go to Paris SO badly!!! My little brother went there alone a few years ago (he was 20 and none of his friends could afford the trip, but he was dying to go). He’s so spontaneous like that. He went, met a beautiful Australian girl, spoke French, saw all of the sites, ate croissants. It just sounds amazing.

Nate is so fashionable. Love the shorts.
