welp. i’ve officially checked another thing off my bucket list! i have been waiting 13 yrs to see morrissey (he cancelled pittsburgh tour dates 2x and i lived in central PA in 2009 when he last came through). you know that part in ‘500 days of summer‘ when they are in the elevator and she starts singing the lyrics? yeah. that was me awesome and i just about jumped out of my seat in excitement.
i have been listening to the smiths music/morrissey for as long as i can remember. nearly, as long as i have been a rabid radiohead fan (which was when i was prob 13)?
needless to say, when the tickets went on sale i bought them in a heartbeat! this charming man named nate went with me (smiths fans, did you see what i did there)?
he was fabulous live, engaging and quirky! one of the cult fan things to do at his shows is to run up on stage and give him a hug then run back to your seat so you don’t get whisked away by security haha. this happened multiple times throughout the night and no one was thrown out. moz himself makes sure they know to let the concert goers stay since they are just practicing ‘love.’

LOVE Moz! You’re so lucky that he let the fans do that!! When I saw him in 2004, a couple of guys rushed up to hug him during the first song of the encore and he ended the show early and that was it.
He was supposed to play here in Nashville tomorrow night but he postponed a bunch of tour dates as he fell sick a few days ago with a bleeding ulcer. I’m so glad you got to see him before that happened!

erin i am really lucky! he cancelled the first time in october because his mum was sick so he flew back to england. then he got sick right after the rescheduled pgh date ahhhhh! *phew*

Congrats on getting to the Morrissey concert! Brings me back to the 90′s! Ha! I never got to see Pearl Jam in concert , at the height of my fandom they were on strike. Then the last couple times they were hear I just never went. My little brother and sister are so into concerts they go to them a few times a month. I haven’t been to one in years. Very cool how Moz lets the fan share their love.
