phew. whirlwind weekend anyone? everyone in my family is moving this year! my parents sold my childhood home and are going to be new permanent residents of south carolina in just 10 days! nate and i are also trying to find a place since our lease is up in may…no pressure right? every week that passes i think we are getting closer to finding a home to buy! more options are popping onto the market and we are doing our best to go see them as soon as possible. we have this new ritual post hunt and i’m kinda loving it.
we discuss our findings and pop over to a coffee shop to linger over cups of americano or most recently shared a chemex! the filters are a bit thicker than normal drip makers and you ‘bloom’ or prime the grounds before pouring all the hot water over top. this method is pretty simple and patience certainly pays off. i think the taste is richer but hey, maybe i am partial to it because it looks like a science experiment?

after all that travelling in the last years I thought i did not imss out on any speciality of coffee etc. since i am just a big fan of everything cacao and coffee… BUT i did NEVER have a chemex.. lol.. sounds really good though!

Coffee…I can’t handle caffeine so I don’t drink any at all. Crazy but true!

good luck with the hunt! I’m not sure if I’ve tried chemex or not.. possibly in Berlin as they seem to be the experts on all coffee business !
