i’m biting my lip as confidence is speaking to me

i have two things for you today: a song for your heart and a refreshing diy tonique for your smiling face!
put this on play and let’s get started…

gather your ingredients. you will need: an airtight spritzing bottle, 1/8c rosewater* (look for one that contains glycerin), 1/2c filtered water & 2tsp lemon juice. all you have to do is measure out your ingredients and pour them into the bottle. seal it up, give it a quick shake et voila! you’re done!

this toner mist will keep in the fridge for 6-8wks! i use a spray or two of this when i want a quick pick me up to refresh my face. the rosewater is soothing and the lemon juice is full of antioxidants & antiseptic properties helping fade old imperfections and prevent new from forming! it also works as a soothing treatment if you are sunburned. personally, this fragrant tonique is also a stress reliever with the delicate and lingering notes of rose. give it a try! your skin will thank you :)

*you can also make your own rosewater sans glycerin by putting 1 cup petals in a boil with 2 cups boiling water and letting it steep for a few hours. after the steeping, strain off the petals and there you go, diy rosewater!

how’s everyone doing midweek? do you have any skincare tips to share with me? my thoughts are with those on the northeast getting a taste of winter’s last gasp! be safe & warm x

Cool, cool, cool. I may have to try the toner. I love DIY stuff (especially since it can be cheaper!).

we have heard good things about rosewater. come to think of it, we think we tried it a few years ago, did not notice much change in skin from it, so maybe we should try it again to see how our skin does now with it.

I love the song! Really what I needed after some hard essay work!

I use a lavender water spray at the moment – I love it – I think it follows the same sort of principles as rose water. You can’t beat natural ingredients.

Tips? Hmm always cleanse your face twice when you do it – makes sure to move all the impurities!

    Hope your week is good.

    Love this song! Downloaded.
I’m definitely going to try this toner – I haven’t done DIY skincare in a long time, but skincare is one of those areas where I sometimes feel like I’m shelling out $$ for something that could easily be made at home. I have lemons and rosewater in my kitchen, too!

diy skincare is the best! i will never buy a lotion or potion that costs like $150. ridiculous.
