first of all, you guys are really the best. you sure know how to make a girl feel special! thanks for all the kind words and well wishes across a myriad of social mediums for our anniversary! i don’t think i’ve ever been more aware of how lucky i am in the present than i do this year. it’s difficult to find someone you can call a lover and best friend and as cliche as it sounds, i am over the moon that i have found that person in nate. p.s. he does have a brother (hi peter)!
so we have been up to a lot lately and instead of dragging it out in multiple posts, i bring you the bullet point edition;
1. nate finished building our tv stand! we had so many other home projects when we moved in
that it took a backseat and our tv was sitting on a milk crate but look how nice it turned out! i told you i loved bob’s burgers
do you get the trend that we like to make things in this household?
2. our trip to fallingwater was a cold, snowy one and i few flashbacks of the shining going through my mind being that far out in the woods, BUT it was beautiful! the spring water running over the rocks was extremely peaceful, but it was a bit ‘too serene’ for this city girl. it was crazy to think that this home was built in the 1930s! the owners of the home were behind the department store ‘kaufmann’s’ and i used to go to downtown pittsburgh to shop there when i was a tiny kid to get a christmas dress!
3.we celebrated our anniversary in style with these great champagne coupes i found from a new york historical society store! then we were off to a nice meal at our favorite eatery in the city. we began discussing our ‘master plan’ happening in a couple months. it involves 9 different flights and about 40+ hours of air time.
hope you all have a good week!
